Mike is a seasoned technology expert with over 45 years in the high-tech industry, beginning his career as an electrical engineer on advanced defense and aerospace systems, including radar, satellites, and the RHIC particle accelerator. His passion for computing and networking led him to pivot into IT, earning his MCSE in 1999, and CCIE in 2008, and accumulating deep expertise across Cisco, VMware, Arista, and many other OEM platforms. With nearly four decades of experience designing and implementing networking, storage, and virtualization solutions, Mike has spent the last 15 years at WWT, evolving from a CSE to a Principal Architect. He now leads initiatives in cutting-edge data center and AI/ML architectures, multi-domain SDN, Full Stack Observability, and automation. Mike also develops self-paced labs, teaches advanced networking classes, and collaborates with OEMs on next-gen Intent-Based Networking and multi-cloud solutions, helping customers reimagine their infrastructure for the future.
