“Alex Lewis, MCITP, CISSP has a mixed background in telecommunications, IT, and consulting with more than 15 years experience. He has been named a Microsoft MVP for Lync 2013 in addition to a number of previous versions of the product. He speaks SIP whenever possible. Alex has worked with a wide range of environments from small organizations to large enterprises requiring complex or custom communications solutions and is responsible for architecting and implementing some of the largest Unified Communications deployments in the world. Alex is a strong believer in the power of business and technology alignment using technological solutions to reduce costs and drive revenue.
Including titles on Active Directory and Exchange, and two on Lync, Alex has participated in writing 9 books from 2004 to present. Alex is working on his latest book on a forthcoming version of Microsoft Lync. He is currently principal consultant and vice president at Modality Systems, a boutique global consulting firm focused on unified communications and custom UC development. In his spare time Alex enjoys scuba diving, motorcycle riding and beach volleyball.”
